Data protection information for applicants

We are pleased that you are interested in us and are applying or have applied for a position in our company. We would like to provide you with information below about the processing of your personal data in connection with the application.

Who is responsible for data processing?

The responsible party within the meaning of data protection law is:

Schwaiger GmbH
Würzburger Str. 17
90579 Langenzenn

You can find further information about our company, details of the authorized representatives and other contact options in our imprint on our website: https://www.schwaiger.de/impressum

Type of data processing:

The way in which your data is processed depends on the address of your application.

  • Applications sent to bewerbung@schwaiger.de will be processed by us in accordance with the GDPR.
  • Applications to other addresses are treated as business letters in the mail system and saved/archived accordingly. Attachments are deleted immediately.

Which of your data do we process? And for what purposes?

We process the data you have sent us in connection with your application in order to assess your suitability for the position (or other open positions in our company, if applicable) and to carry out the application process.

What is the legal basis for this?

The legal basis for the processing of your personal data in this application process is primarily Section 26 of the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG). This allows the processing of data that is required in connection with the decision on establishing an employment relationship.

If the data is required for legal proceedings after completion of the application process, data processing may take place on the basis of the requirements of Art. 6 GDPR, in particular to protect legitimate interests in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our interest then lies in asserting or defending claims.

How long will the data be stored?

In case of rejection, applicants’ data will be deleted after 6 months.

If you have agreed to further storage of your personal data, we will add your data to our applicant pool. The data will be deleted after two years.

If you have been awarded a position as part of the application process, the data from the applicant data system will be transferred to our personnel information system.

To which recipients will the data be passed on?

We use a specialized software provider for the application process. This provider acts as a service provider for us and may also receive knowledge of your personal data in connection with the maintenance and upkeep of the systems. We have concluded a so-called order processing agreement with this provider, which ensures that the data processing is carried out in a permissible manner.

Your application data will be reviewed by the HR department after we receive your application. Suitable applications will then be forwarded internally to the department heads for the respective open position. The further process will then be coordinated. In principle, only those people in the company who need it for the proper execution of our application process have access to your data.

Where is the data processed?

The data is processed exclusively in data centers in the Federal Republic of Germany.
